Real Talk:

A Support Group for Men to Understand and Navigate Emotions

In-Person Support Group in Deerfield, IL

Are you tired of holding everything in all the time? Maybe you’ve been told to “man up,” push through, or keep your feelings to yourself. But that doesn’t mean you don’t feel the weight of stress, expectations, or emotions that don’t have anywhere to go.

In this supportive and confidential group, you’ll connect with other men who are also looking to understand their emotions, manage stress, and build healthier relationships. Together, you’ll develop a deeper sense of self-awareness, practice vulnerability, and redefine what strength truly means—without judgment, pressure, or expectations.

This group is a space to explore what’s going on beneath the surface, talk openly, and connect with other men who get it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the cancellation policy?

Because this is a closed, 10-week group with limited spots, we ask for a thoughtful commitment when you register.

If you need to cancel after registering, please notify us in writing at least 7 days before the first group meeting to receive a full refund of your deposit, minus a $10 processing fee.

Cancellations made within 7 days of the first meeting are not eligible for a deposit refund.

Is this support group confidential?

Yes. Confidentiality is a cornerstone of our support group. All participants agree to respect and protect the privacy of what’s shared. This creates a safe, judgment-free space where everyone can speak openly, honestly, and without fear of their story leaving the room.

How will this group actually help me?

In this group, you’ll have a safe space to understand and address your emotions. Through vulnerability, honest feedback, and action-oriented goals, you’ll gain insights, strengthen self-awareness, and work toward deeper connections—with yourself and with others.

By connecting with men who understand your experiences, you’ll build coping skills, foster healthier relationships, and develop a stronger sense of belonging.

How many people will be in the group?

To keep this space supportive and confidential, we limit the group to a maximum of 10 men. This allows for real connection while still giving everyone space to share and reflect.

We ask that participants commit to attending at least 8 of the 10 group sessions. More than two absences can disrupt the sense of safety and consistency, so those unable to meet this commitment may be asked to step out of the group.
