Clinical Focus: Couples, Adults, Relational Distress

Terri is an excellent therapist and I feel very lucky to be working with her. She is very insightful and her extensive expertise with the Gottman Method has proven to be invaluable. The work I’ve done with Terri has been challenging at times but as a result, I am in such a better place mentally and emotionally. Terri possesses a wonderful combination of empathy, candor, and encouragement that helps makes her such an effective therapist. She is a therapist that will challenge you and help you get results. I highly recommend Terri; she has made such a positive impact on my life and my marriage.

We all long to connect, to feel cared for, loved and understood for who we are. And when we experience a disconnect from those relationships that have significant meaning in our lives, something is missing. We sense something doesn’t feel right. On our own, we often don’t know how to fix it. That’s when seeking the assistance of a professionally trained therapist, who not only has the clinical training but the value of true life experience, can make a life-changing difference.

Coming from a large Italian family, my family was everything. Yet it often wasn’t working in ways where we should’ve been connected and thriving together. Because of these firsthand life experiences, I am passionate about helping others work through the pain of feeling alone, or being misunderstood and sometimes even disconnected from what matters the most to them.

There is healing on the other side of the pain. There is an opportunity to grow as your authentic self and in the significant relationships in your life. It takes courage, and determination; but it is freeing and healing to live a life where you can be accepted for who you are and to surround yourself with people who love and care deeply for you.

In addition, my training with Drs. John and Julie Gottman to become a Certified Gottman Therapist, (CGT), gives me the foundational expertise to work with couples who are dealing with a wide range of challenges in their lives together. Whatever situation you are facing, I believe that this approach is the best method to move your relationship to a better place.

They say, “Marriage takes work”, and it does! The work is small tiny steps daily that can change the trajectory of the way you move through time and space together. Those are part of the many skills you can learn from the Gottman Method. This method really does work. You can do this. Just make the call and we can discuss next steps for whatever situation you are facing.

Remember, “there are no mistakes in life, only lessons”
