Career & Work Issues

Hi, I’m Leslie Cornejo! I believe in creating a welcoming, non-judgmental space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered. I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion, curiosity, and care.

With over 9 years of experience in the healthcare field—including the last 4 years as an Intake Coordinator in mental health—I’m passionate about helping people feel supported from the very first point of contact.

Throughout my career, I’ve been responsible for conducting the intake process and thoughtfully connecting clients with therapists based on their unique needs. Combined with my bachelor’s degree in psychology, this experience gives me a strong foundation in understanding human behavior and mental health concerns.

I’m committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care to every client and to continually growing my expertise in mental health.

My Approach as a Therapist

I strive to create a safe, comfortable, and non-judgmental space where you can show up as you are and feel truly heard. Whether you’re unpacking day-to-day stress or working through deeper challenges, my goal is to meet you with empathy and respect.

I take a strengths-based approach, helping you process your thoughts and emotions at your own pace. I’m not here to judge or tell you what decisions to make—instead, I’m here to listen, support, and collaborate with you. Together, we’ll work toward finding balance and the support you’ve been seeking.

How I Can Help You

My goal is for you to feel seen, heard, and genuinely validated. I’ll listen deeply and provide thoughtful feedback. I see therapy as a collaborative process, and I’m here to walk alongside you on your healing journey.

I’m especially passionate about working with first-generation immigrants, particularly those from Hispanic backgrounds. As a first-generation immigrant myself, I deeply understand the struggles that come with acculturation—especially the emotional weight of balancing two cultures. I’m dedicated to creating a warm, compassionate space where you can explore your experiences, find your voice, and feel supported every step of the way.

Whether we speak in English or Spanish, I’ll offer steady support and help you feel empowered as you navigate life’s challenges.
